Hardwicke offers up to three non-assessed, three-day mini-pupillages each quarter:
Applications close one month prior to the first day of the next quarter, meaning that the deadlines are:
We offer mini-pupillages which will last for 3 days and what you will be doing each day will vary enormously depending on the area of law you are working in and, to some extent, on the barrister you are shadowing. You may be required to meet a barrister at court or in chambers and you are likely to spend time with more than one barrister during your time with us, to ensure that you experience a good variety of work. You will almost certainly go to court at some point and you may also be able to sit in on a conference or help a barrister with research or advisory work.
To be eligible to apply for mini-pupillage at Hardwicke you must: - Be in the second year of your law degree or on the GDL or conversion course; and - Be able to travel to London to spend time with us.
As part of the Pegasus Access Scheme social mobility initiative the set also offers mini-pupillages to candidates from underrepresented backgrounds. Mini-pupillages at Hardwicke are not a pre-requisite for an application for pupillage.
