The applicants are gradually put through a challenging set of legal and non-legal panel interviews, written assessments and speeches, until only the very best are offered a training contract. During the training contract itself, the successful applicants take ‘seats’ in different departments, gaining a broad range of practical experience to take through to their future careers as qualified solicitors.
