April King is a thriving and innovative law firm with 19 offices across the UK.

We offer Qualifying Employment and full funding to initially achieve Fellow status with CILEx with a view to then qualifying as a solicitor following completion of our in-house 8 day Professional Skills Course. This modern approach means that a traditional training contract is not needed in order to qualify as a solicitor and can be achieved between one and three years of joining us dependent upon qualification and/or past employment.

Having a law degree and LPC is a minimum requirement to be part of our Private Client team but additionally you will understand that family life is dynamic and complicated. We look for individuals who understand that knowing the law is only part of being a top professional. A good communicator, you will be keen to learn from some of the best legal professionals and become a specialist rather than a generalist. We offer full in-house training and ongoing development.

You will need to be able to work often unsupervised and use your own initiative when planning your working week. In other words we will give you the autonomy and responsibility to build strong and meaningful professional relationships with our valued clients. A full driver’s license and car is required.

A highly competent salary is offered together with exemplary staff benefits following a qualifying probationary period.

Successful applicants for the role will:

  • Become a valued member of a growing firm, during a period of exciting expansion;
  • Take a client facing role with high levels of client contact time from the outset;
  • Manage their own diary and caseload from the outset;
  • Enjoy excellent opportunities for internal progression and continuous professional development for ambitious candidates;
  • Work in a specialist area of law with the potential to cross-train following a period of training within the Private Client arena;
  • Benefit from excellent earning potential through a fee-share agreement.
