An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Litigation Solicitor/Experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our Litigation team based in Canary Wharf. This is a truly exciting opportunity to join a unique law firm and advance your litigation career.

A bright and enthusiastic individual, you will have experience in running a civil litigation caseload within a fee earning capacity. You must be able to demonstrate a passion for and experience in Litigation Law.

The firm

The firm provides specialist legal advice, case management and court representation. Our team of 200 legal professionals are located in every region of England & Wales and represent companies and individuals in every county court, day in-day out.

The role is based in our Litigation department, which trades as SCS Law specialising in civil law, in particular small claims, landlord and tenant and general case management.

The role

You will be responsible for managing your own litigation case files and for providing support on larger complex and bespoke cases, maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality. You will be required to ensure accurate records are maintained for both chargeable and non chargeable time. You will be required to undertake independent legal research to resolve any issues which may arise in order to progress your cases.

The candidate

  • You must be a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or fee earning Paralegal with solid experience in general civil law.
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years fee earning experience and have an in depth knowledge of the CPR rules.
  • You will have excellent client care, resolving issues which may arise or escalating as appropriate.
  • You will have the ability to work effectively under pressure and will be required to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • The ability to undertake legal research in unfamiliar areas of law is essential.
  • You will demonstrate the ability to achieve key performance fee targets such as chargeable hours and time recording.
