The Junior Lawyers Division (JLD) is undertaking the third year of its resilience and wellbeing survey.

The anonymous five-minute survey is designed to gather information on the resilience and wellbeing of junior lawyers in England and Wales.

Take the resilience and wellbeing survey 2019.

In summary, more than 82% of respondents reported either regularly or occasionally feeling stressed in the month before completing the survey, with 26% of those individuals being severely/extremely stressed. View the report of the 2018 survey results.

The JLD is running the survey again this year so that it can monitor and compare statistics.

It is concerned about the high levels of stress and the number of individuals experiencing mental ill-health in the profession. In last year’s survey more than 25% of respondents stated that they had experienced mental ill-health in the last month (whether formally diagnosed or not).

The survey will close at 11.59pm on Thursday 28 February.
