The Criminal Cases Review Commission (CCRC) is the public body with statutory responsibility for independently investigating alleged miscarriages of justice in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. It is based in Birmingham.

With the support of the Kalisher Scholarship Trust the CCRC is offering an internship, which will be available to those who completed the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) in 2018 or 2019.

The internship, known as the 'Kalisher Internship Award' will be for a period of 12 months, starting in September 2019.
 
The annual salary will be £16,835, payable monthly.

The closing date for applications is 5:00pm on Monday 13 May 2019.
 
Shortlisted candidates will be notified in May 2019; and interviews at the CCRC will be in late May or early June 2019, dates to be confirmed.
 
The successful candidate will be notified of the outcome late June 2019. However they will have to undergo the security vetting procedure applied to all CCRC employees, before their internship offer can be finally confirmed.
