Legal Cheek is seeking a new team member to help organise its programme of events and assist with the production of content.

The new role at the fast-growing website and events business involves working with a host of leading law firms and law schools to put on regular student events, including related editorial.

The successful candidate will be involved in end-to-end event coordination. Duties include processing event applications; corresponding with attendees; writing event editorial; liaising with law firms, law schools and partner organisations about event logistics; and assisting at events.

The role is based in Legal Cheek's office in Haggerston, London, with some scope for flexible working.

Qualities that we are looking for:

  • Very well-organised
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Conscientious
  • Good time-management and ability to multi-task
  • Experience of holding positions of responsibility
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) and friendly manner
  • Social media savvy
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Willing to muck in as part of a team in a small business

A legal background is not essential but the role would suit a recent law graduate interested in either pursuing a career in events and/or marketing and publishing, or looking to gain experience of the legal industry before starting a training contract or pupillage. For the right candidate there will be opportunities to progress and take on more responsibility.

Applications are open until Friday 18 October, with interviews taking place at Legal Cheek's office in Haggerston, London. Apply by submitting a CV and cover letter.
