Legal Cheek is recruiting for a features editor to join its growing team.

We are seeking a candidate with experience of writing, editing and commissioning articles. They will be an enthusiastic writer of punchy headlines and enjoy the challenge of making content perform strongly on social media. A level of knowledge of the legal profession would be helpful.

Responsibilities include:

• Commissioning and editing our busy schedule of careers content created in partnership with law firms.
• Managing our Journal section of student written articles about legal affairs.
• Optimising content for social media.
• Writing and editing some news stories.
• Updating content across Legal Cheek’s website such as our firm profiles and SQE Hub.
• Liaising with law firms and law schools about the content element of commercial awareness-themed event campaigns.
• Some chairing of virtual and in-person events.
• Generally mucking in as part of a small team.

The role is remote-first and can be done from anywhere in the UK. You’ll be working from 9-5:30 (37.5 hours per week), with a video meeting with the rest of the Legal Cheek team at the beginning and the end of each day, as well as regular contact with the team through Slack. You’ll have access to office space in major cities should you wish to use it, with London team members typically working two days a week from the office.

The starting salary is competitive and dependent on experience. You will be provided with a company laptop.
